University of New Hampshire Wildcats Hockey Powered by Goalline Sports Administration Software


While University of New Hampshire’s Club Hockey team is beginning it’s 8th year as a recognized Club sport, it’s root’s date back to the fall of 1994. Originally founded as the NH Ragin Moose, the team’s first seven years were flooded with success. As a 100% student run organization, the Ragin Moose competed with local Club and Junior hockey programs before being awarded recognition by the University of New Hampshire. Since then, the team has continued its winning ways and in the process, achieved local and national prominence.

The 2011/2012 season marks the teams 9th year as an official member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association ( Prior to the start of the 2006/07 season, the UNH Club Hockey team was honored in joining one of the premier Club Hockey Leagues in the country, the Super East Collegiate Hockey League (

The 2010/2011 season was the most successful season in UNH's history. The Wildcats finished with a record of 21-9-2 and qualified for thier first ACHA National Championship Appearance in San Jose, CA. UNH clinched their birth in Nationals by beating rivals UMass (4-2) and Northeastern (7-1) in the ACHA Regional Championships in Danbury, CT. 

At Nationals the Wildcats finished 3rd in their group with a (1-2) record. They played Eastern Washington University (1-4 L), Miami (OH) (1-5 L), and earned their first National Championship win in a hard fought game against Central Michigan (6-3). While UNH failed to qualify for a semi-final birth, the team finished the season ranked #11 in the country. This marked a high point in the history of the program and set the standard for years to come.

At a school where hockey and education are steeped in tradition, the University of New Hampshire’s Club Hockey team strives for excellence, both on and off the ice.
