#6 UNH Set to Play #7 UConn is Northeast Regional Opening Round!

UNH will face-off against UConn in the first round of the northeast regional tournament.

The University of New Hampshire club hockey team is set to open up the regional tournament on Saturday February 27th in Danbury, Connecticut. 

The two teams met the last two seasons in the regional tournament, with UConn coming out on top both times.  In 2008, #4 UNH met with #11 UConn in the northeast regional finals.  UConn won the game by a score of 6-1 to earn a trip to Florida for the national tournament.  Last season, #10 UNH played #3 UConn in the opening round of the regional tournament.  Uconn won the game 4-1 and would go on to make the national tournament in Michigan. 

The game will be played at the Danbury Ice Arena on Saturday February 27th at 7:00pm.
